my silent prayers for change in consciousness
"Even the slightest of a whisper, the smallest ant's faltering steps or those of the very tiniest of beings .... or a heart filled with gratitude or even a single quivering wavering Voice is heard by the Universe ..... growing in consciousness for change."

Poem of Hope- Winds of change blowing in
Poem 4 : "Winds of Change blowing in” 2ndJan’2002
I see winds of change blowing in
Progress sweet fruit of labour reaping in.
Time and space have moved and crossed.
Boundaries broken, new records marked.
From darkness light has to shine forth.
Pushing, spreading arms spearheading growth.
I can see people thrive-
By the dint of their sheer work come alive.
I can feel nature lush green in bounty.
Feeding one and all a plenty.
I can feel the winds of change coming by.
Where each one wants to touch the sky.
I can feel the wheels of fortune spinning.
While each one for our country goes all out achieving.
I can feel peace and harmony come back to those tall peaks.
Where the sunshine and clouds.
Once scattered silvery blue streaks.
I can feel the fresh cool air of the mountains bring.
A summer full of hope and a bountiful spring.
I guess this all is not a mere daydream.
As I pray for peace to set in.
I can feel each atom vibrate.
As the music of the winds over rustling leaves gyrate.
I can feel the winds of change for better silently blowing in.
Truly I pray today for the winds of change to blow in.

Excerpts of poem 'Riding on the tide'
"Riding on the tide" 7th Feb'2011
I have to ride over the tide.
To reach safely onto the other side.
Crashing, churning pushing waves.
Moving me, jostling me aside...........

Excerpts from my poem - 'Of Wants and Dreams'
"Of Wants and Dreams" 30th Nov'2011
Is it wrong to dream?
To try and catch the moonlit beam.
Is it wrong to want to shine?
With no penny in pocket nor a dime.
When will fortunes wheels turn?
Broadening my horizons to learn and earn.
So I too can stand tall.
One by one, achieving them all. ............
Is it wrong to dream?
To shine, polish and gleam.
To dust away the dust.
So that Today I do not rust.
Is it wrong to dream I ask?
While I go on from task to task.
Is it enough just to be.
For me to just be Me.
Wishing to soar high.
Spreading my wings onto sunlit skies.
I know now I can wish and dream.
And one day I will catch the moonlit beam.....
Is it wrong to dream ?

Prayers for Change.
"Is it wrong to dream of a wonderful reality?"
"Is it wrong to dream of a wonderful reality ?" 6th Aug’2012.
Why does my heart dream of a World full of love, care and brotherhood ?
When stark reality spells, hammers out otherwise?
Why does my soul want peace, more green spaces.
Wishing for food, clean fresh air, clear blue skies and clean water aplenty.
When reality bites the dust.
Putting a snuff off life.....
I wonder am I living for real?
Is it wrong to dream of a Wonderful World ...
Why one life fighting against another life?
How can people simply spill out strife?
Life killing out Life sparing none ?
While in prayers our source is One.
Why, Why, Why ? My heart cries out in anger and anguish.
Why so difficult to forgive, forget leaving doubts to banish.
Is it wrong to dream of a wonderful world with souls rare?
Who rise above, live and let live; being souls that care.

Faith by Ella Wheeler Wilcox (Nov. 5, 1850 to Oct. 30, 1919 )
Faith
by Ella Wheeler Wilcox
I will not doubt, though all my ships at sea
Come drifting home with broken masts and sails;
I shall believe the Hand which never fails,
From seeming evil worketh good for me;
And though I weep because those sails are battered,
Still will I cry, while my best hopes lie shattered,
Come drifting home with broken masts and sails;
I shall believe the Hand which never fails,
From seeming evil worketh good for me;
And though I weep because those sails are battered,
Still will I cry, while my best hopes lie shattered,
I trust in Thee.
I will not doubt, though all my prayers return
Unanswered from the still, white Realm above;
I shall believe it is an all-wise Love
Which has refused those things for which I yearn;
And though at times I cannot keep from grieving,
Yet the pure ardour of my fixed believing
Undimmed shall burn.
Unanswered from the still, white Realm above;
I shall believe it is an all-wise Love
Which has refused those things for which I yearn;
And though at times I cannot keep from grieving,
Yet the pure ardour of my fixed believing
Undimmed shall burn.
I will not doubt, though sorrows fall like rain,
And troubles swarm like bees about a hive;
I shall believe the heights for which I strive
Are only reached by anguish and by pain;
And though I groan and tremble with my crosses,
I yet shall see, through my severest losses,
The greater gain.
And troubles swarm like bees about a hive;
I shall believe the heights for which I strive
Are only reached by anguish and by pain;
And though I groan and tremble with my crosses,
I yet shall see, through my severest losses,
The greater gain.
I will not doubt; well-anchored in the faith,
Like some staunch ship, my soul braves every gale;
So strong its courage that it will not fail
To breast the mighty unknown sea of Death.
Oh, may I cry when body parts with spirit,
With my last breath.
Like some staunch ship, my soul braves every gale;
So strong its courage that it will not fail
To breast the mighty unknown sea of Death.
Oh, may I cry when body parts with spirit,
I do not doubt,so listening worlds may hear it,
With my last breath.

"Lord help me knead the dough of my Life" 30th Jan 2012
Lord help knead the dough of my Life.
Sieve away the pains, sorrows and strife.
Guide my hands, so I can knead.
Onto promising heights of what I can write, be indeed. ....

Both a Teacher and Guru are rare and revered alike.
I would like to share this via one of the emails from my friend Dr. Sudha Nambisan, who first got it from another Doctor..... The writer is anonymous but the thought is astounding, fantastic and true..... Read on and Share / Comment / Post ..... Thanks.
"I would like to say, both Teachers and Gurus alike are revered and worshipped in our Country India and special days like Teacher's Day and Guru Poornima are special days to Celebrate".
My Special Thank you and gratitude to ALL my Teachers and my Yoga Gurus .....
"I would like to say, both Teachers and Gurus alike are revered and worshipped in our Country India and special days like Teacher's Day and Guru Poornima are special days to Celebrate".
My Special Thank you and gratitude to ALL my Teachers and my Yoga Gurus .....
A FOOD FOR THOUGHT
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TEACHER AND A GURU
A teacher takes responsibility of your growth
A Guru makes you responsible for your growth.
A teacher gives you things you do not have and require
A Guru takes away things you have and do not require.
A teacher answers your questions
A Guru questions your answer
A teacher helps you get out of the maze
A Guru destroys your maze
A teacher requires obedience and discipline from the pupil
A Guru requires trust and humility from the pupil
A teacher clothes you and prepares you for the outer journey
A Guru strips you naked and prepares you for the inner journey
A teacher is a guide on the path
A Guru is the pointer to the way
A teacher sends you on the road to success
A Guru sends you on the road to freedom
When the course is over you are thankful to the teacher
When the discourse is over you are grateful to the Guru
A teacher explains the world and its nature to you
A Guru explains yourself and your nature to you
A teacher makes you understand how to move about in the world
A Guru shows you where you stand in relation to the world
A teacher gives you knowledge and boosts your ego
A Guru takes away your knowledge and punctures your ego
A teacher instructs you
A Guru constructs you
A teacher sharpens your mind
A Guru opens your mind
A teacher shows you the way to prosperity
A Guru shows the way to serenity
A teacher reaches your mind
A Guru touches your soul
A teacher gives you knowledge
A Guru makes you wise
A teacher gives you maturity
A Guru returns you to innocence
A teacher instructs you on how to solve problems
A Guru shows you how to resolve issues
A teacher is a systematic thinker
A Guru is a lateral thinker
A teacher will punish you with a stick
A guru will punish you with compassion
A teacher is a pupil what a father is to son
A Guru is to pupil what mother is to her child
One can always find a teacher
But Guru has to find and accept you
A teacher leads you by the hand
A Guru leads you by example
When a teacher finishes with you, you graduate.
When a Guru finishes with you, you celebrate.
